Acme Giants formed when guitarist, Matt Rhoden enlisted producers Bart Schouldel and Ron Haney--the Churchills, known best then for their appearance on Spin City and their theme song to the MTV show, Juvies--to finish and record several Alt-Rock songs he'd written while playing with various New York rock groups.
As Matt and Ron (a renowned songwriter who has written cuts with Alicia Keys and Interscope artist Mateo) continued to create new songs--now ranging from indie rock, to folk, to Adult Alternative--Ron recruited singer Jerzy Jung, an award-winning singer/songwriter, who has been featured on the TV show HitRecord, and will appear regularly on The Song.
Soon after recording the music for their first album, several songs were signed for licensing by Imaginary Friends Music Partners.
